Although I loved teaching the classes my real passion was dancing and I decided to form my own dance troupe and so Venom were born.
After a few personnel changes, the group which consisted of Abi, Kim, Dawn and Anita were to be my pride and joy for the next 10 years.
We started off doing local shows but after our popularity grew we travelled all over the country with our own highly polished cabaret act.
We won countless talent and variety contests
and worked with Joe Pasquale, Chas’n’Dave and The Supremes on our travels.
Every part of our act was professionally put together...the choreography, the costumes and most importantly the presence the girls and I had on stage.
We were also asked to be the dancers to entertain the crowd at Coventry City’s home games at Highfield Road. The crowd were very appreciative of us and we even had a full double page colour spread in The Sun newspaper, although I was very upset I was not the Page 7 Fella (perhaps I was just too perfect.)
