I also have another side to my personality and I am known as Dr. Showbiz, the entertainment correspondent on BBC Radio Northampton. So you can tune in every Monday and Friday morning at around 8.40am and hear my dulcet tones on the airwaves with the very talented and extremely funny DJ Bernie Keith.
My jingle even has its own horn section so eat your heart out Sir Terry Wogan.
I am sent all over the world to report on star studded gossip but on “Bernie’s World Tour 2006” my public eventually got to see me in the flesh at the Long Buckby Village Hall.....not quite the same as the Las Vegas Hilton, I know, but it was a lot cleaner and the fairy cakes they served were a sensation.
I had to battle my way through the fans who were all clamouring for my autograph, although I did leave some a bit disappointed when I did not sign it as Alec Gilroy, as they expected.
CHEEK.....I am more like Ross Kemp than Alec Gilroy.
